Walmart Pokémon Card Drawings: How They Work (Oct 2026)

Walmart has been selling some hot Pokémon TCG products online through drawings since late August 2026. Here's how it works as of Oct 2026.

How the drawing works

1. Walmart posts a schedule of products that will be offered by drawing in advance.
2. On drawing day you enter for free during a short window (about an hour, per Walmart's rules as quoted by Hip2Save on Oct 7, 2026; Polygon described it as a few hours).
3. After the window closes, Walmart picks entries at random.
4. If picked, Walmart places and charges your order automatically for the quantity you signed up for.
5. You may wait up to 72 hours to learn if you were selected.

Prices and limits seen

Limits vary by drawing — earlier drawings had maximums of 5 and 3. Walmart recently moved from one weekly slot to two drawings on back-to-back days. Expect changes.

Why it beats the old queue

Before drawings, Walmart's weekly online drops meant hours in line, with products often selling out before you reached the front. With a drawing, if you don't win you lose nothing.

How to be ready (legitimately)

• Keep a valid payment method and address on your Walmart account — winners are charged automatically.
• Only enter for a quantity you're happy to pay for at the drawing price.
• Set a reminder for the entry window; it's short. Get our alert.
• Compare the drawing price to MSRP and current resale before entering.
