Legit buying checklist

  • Sign up for the Pokémon Center newsletter (required for Invite Only eligibility).
  • Log in to Best Buy, Walmart and Target accounts ahead of time with saved address and payment.
  • Click Best Buy's Invite button as soon as the product page allows it.
  • Watch Walmart's drawing schedule — entry windows are short (about an hour).
  • Consider your local game store's prerelease — the easiest way to play the set early.
  • Don't panic-buy resale at launch. For comparison, the 30th Celebration ETB ($49.99 MSRP) was reselling around $133–$145 in mid-October but had fallen roughly 18–22% over 30 days.
